How does Phrase Studios sizing fit?

Phrase Studios runs boxy through the body with a drop shoulder and a relaxed, unisex fit. Sizes run XS to XL; a Phrase M measures roughly 112 cm chest (pit to pit times two) laid flat. Size down for a closer fit.

Is Phrase Studios true to size?

Phrase is designed for a relaxed, boxy fit rather than fitted, so it wears true-to-size-to-slightly-oversized. For a fitted look, size down one; for an oversized look, take your usual size.

How do Phrase Studios pieces fit?

Our pieces have a relaxed, boxy unisex fit with a slight drop shoulder, true to size to slightly oversized. If you want a closer fit, size down one. Everything runs XS to XL, and the size guide on each product gives garment measurements in centimetres.

How long does shipping take?

We ship worldwide from Belgium. In Belgium and the Netherlands delivery is typically around 2 days, and shipping is free over €100 / $100. Order before 14:00 and your piece is dispatched the same day.

What is your return policy?

You have 14 days to return an unworn piece. Our pieces are made in small numbers and are not restocked once a chapter closes, so use the size guide before you order.

What is The Circle and Pocket Change?

The Circle is our membership. You earn Pocket Change on every order, 1,000 to start and 10 for every €1 you spend, and you redeem it like store credit (100 Pocket Change is €1). Members also get early access to chapter drops.

Which payment methods can I use?

Bancontact, iDEAL, card, and Klarna. Klarna lets you spread payment at checkout.

Do you restock sold-out pieces?

Rarely. Phrase is built in chapters with a finite end. Once a chapter closes its pieces move to The Vault and are usually not reprinted, so if your size is in stock, that is the moment.

Where is Phrase Studios based?

We are an independent streetwear label from Gent, Belgium, built from friends to friends and produced in small numbers.

How Phrase sizing compares to KITH, Aimé Leon Dore, Patta, and Stüssy.

Phrase runs boxy through the body with a drop shoulder. If you wear a medium in a KITH classic tee, a medium in an Aimé Leon Dore crewneck, an L in a Patta tee, or an M in a Stüssy basic tee, a Phrase M will sit slightly looser through the chest and slightly shorter through the body. Here are the numbers we publish, alongside each peer brand's own published sizing resource.

Cut signature:: American sportswear, classic through the chest and shoulder. Heavier ALD tees and rugbys are noted on the product page when they run boxy.
Where to verify:: Aimé Leon Dore publishes sizing at product-page level.

Compared to Phrase: ALD's classic tee is narrower through the chest than a Phrase tee at the same letter. If you wear an ALD M, Phrase M will feel slightly looser.
